Godelius continued its AI and Machine Learning Journal Club, an initiative led by the Data Science team to review and discuss the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
In this second session, Darío López Díaz, Data Engineer at Confuturo and PhD in Theoretical Physics, presented GraphCast, the weather forecasting model developed by Google DeepMind. The session explored its core principles, deep learning–based architecture, and its ability to generate high-resolution, global-scale predictions.
GraphCast represents a significant step forward in applying artificial intelligence to complex, data-intensive problems, demonstrating how advanced models can improve forecasting accuracy and support better decision-making across industries.
The Journal Club brings together data scientists and professionals from diverse sectors, including finance, retail, robotics, and forensic analysis. The initiative continues to foster collaborative learning and encourage the exchange of technical knowledge across disciplines.
Through this ongoing series, Godelius reinforces its commitment to advancing its capabilities in artificial intelligence and staying at the forefront of innovation.
