At our Robotics Development Center in Santiago, Chile, SK Godelius has successfully completed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for one of our latest telecommand solutions — the remote operation of a crane at SQM’s Tocopilla port.
SQM is a globally recognized Chilean company, known for its leadership in lithium production and its focus on innovation and sustainability in the mining and chemical industries.
This off-site FAT represents a critical milestone in the validation process, allowing us to simulate real-world crane operations in a controlled environment. The goal: to ensure the system’s reliability, safety, and precise operator control under remote conditions, before deployment in the field.
Remote operation projects like this one are part of our ongoing commitment to improving safety and operational efficiency in high-risk, high-impact environments — especially in strategic logistics hubs such as ports.
