During a recent TV interview with Chilean television channel, Arsenio Fern\u00e1ndez, Strategic Transformation Manager at, highlighted how the company is advancing the use of robotics and AI-driven systems for mining and industrial applications.<\/p>\n

Fern\u00e1ndez explained that while humanoid robots are still in the early stages of global adoption, SK Godelius is already actively working with robotic systems in mining operations, particularly through quadruped robots used for autonomous inspection of critical assets such as conveyor belts. These systems integrate thermal cameras, HD visual inspection, microphones, and LiDAR technology to continuously monitor operational environments and report anomalies in real time to maintenance teams.<\/p>\n

According to Fern\u00e1ndez, the company\u2019s strength goes beyond simply using commercially available robotic platforms. SK Godelius develops complete mining-focused operational solutions by integrating robotics, sensing technologies, artificial intelligence, and operational workflows to create mission-oriented systems capable of reducing personnel exposure to hazardous environments, improving inspection quality, and strengthening predictive maintenance capabilities.<\/p>\n

Fern\u00e1ndez also emphasized the evolution toward autonomous systems capable of understanding their environment, interacting through natural language models, and making operational decisions based on visual information and sensor data. While many humanoid robotics applications are still in testing phases around the world, SK Godelius already operates fleets of robotic inspection systems in mining operations across Chile and international projects.<\/p>\n
